If a student falls ill or is unable to attend class during any working day, he or she should promptly submit the record of leave to the class teacher duly signed by his/her parent or guardian.
A student who has been continuously absent for three consecutive days due to illness is obligated to submit a medical certificate.
The name of the student who has been continuously absent for 12 working days, and who has failed to apply for leave will be struck off the rolls. However, the principal could re-admit such a student if he is satisfied with the explanation given by the parent or guardian.
A student who has taken leave for more than 5 days is directed to send a report to the Principal in a written format.
